CARL WAMBASI MAKOKHA
Mr. Carl Wambasi Makokha, an Attorney at Law / Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, has over the past few years been in a strategic position from which he has played a central role in promoting and streamlining legal development in both private and public local and international organizations and entities.
His legal career commenced with his pupilage at Kaniaru & Kaniaru Advocate’s; one of Kenya’s premiere law firms in the realms of municipal and international environmental and public international law. In line with his duties he was one of the critical members involved in the founding of Kilimanjaro Initiative, an international NGO headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya and with branches in Geneva, Switzerland and New York, in the USA, that seeks to promote peace and development through sports. He worked diligently with the Kilimanjaro Initiative for over one year as its Chief Executive Officer and his key contributions during this time saw the NGO build many key partnership’s and establish stable structure’s that have seen the organization rise steadily as one of the leading NGO’s in Africa and the world. He currently serves as the Secretary to the Governing Council at the NGO.
Today he is an accomplished Advocate who runs his own legal and consultancy practice; Wambasi & Company Advocates, with multiple local and international clients in his portfolio. He has interests in the corporate world as a business man thus has formed and forged partnership’s that allow his business interest’s at EGI to prevail. Mr. Wambasi is widely travelled and has amassed years of experience especially with regard to international and regional legal matters both at the public and private levels.
Mr. Wambasi was instrumental in the founding of EGI and his consistency, organization, diplomacy and conscientious approach on a broad range of issues make’s his role as a team player and growth engine for and on behalf of EGI impeccable.
